Joan G. Lambright

Joan G. Lambright, 80, of Defiance and formerly of Scott, died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born November 7, 1931, in Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of the late Vaughn and Maria C. (Dupke) Grubaugh. On June 3, 1951, she married Maxie Joe Lambright, who survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Maxie Jay (Sarah) Lambright of Beachwood, Steven Michael (Kate) Lambright of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Jeffrey Alan (Mary) Lambright of Bloomington, Ind.; a brother, Vaughn F. (Betty) Grubaugh Jr. of Lima; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A sister, Mary Lee Wetnight, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.

Calling hours are an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Community Health Professionals-Hospice, Defiance College or a charity of donor’s choice.
