Ray O. Trammell

Ray O. Trammell, 81, of Middle Point, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born September 26, 1930, in Scott County, Tenn., the son of the late Henry and Minnie (Terry) Trammell. He married Shirley J. (Klinger) Trammell, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include four children, Diana J. Trammell and Kathy (Bryan) Trammell, both of Middle Point, Steve (Rona) Trammell of Ohoi City and Pamela (Rick) Slone of Convoy; four brothers, George (Sally) Trammell and Wallace Trammell, both of Winfield, Tenn., Howard (Ruth) Trammell of Morgantown, Ind., and Henry (Kathy) Trammell of Florida; three sisters, Ruby Hauter of Middle Point and Edna Mae Hill and Mary (Elmer) Joyce, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A brother, James Trammell, also preceded him in death.

Private family funeral services will be conducted. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
