Lillian P. Hartsock

Lillian P. Hartsock, 96, of Chillicothe and formerly of Convoy, died Monday morning, January 9, 2012, at the Traditions of Chillicothe Nursing Home.

She was born March 21, 1915, in Convoy, the daughter of the late Orval and Nora (Reed) Foley. On April 9, 1932, she married Lester Slane, who preceded her in death on July 22, 1985. She then married Walter Hartsock on October 10, 1987, and he survives in Chillicothe.

Other survivors include three children, Terry Slane of Indianapolis, Ind., and Donna Smith and Janet (Lowell) Kever, both of Van Wert; three stepchildren, Tim (Patty) Hartsock, Tom (Lucinda) Hartsock and Charlotte (Tim) Horton, all of Chillicothe; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Frederick Foley; and six sisters, Bernice Putman, Lucille Cox, Cecille Allison, Esther Scott and Ruth Burley, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 13, at Convoy United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Greg Leigh officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 12, at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home & Crematory in Convoy and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
