Richard Grothouse

Richard “Dick” Grothouse, 84, of Delphos, died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

He was born September 11, 1927, in Ottoville, the son of the late Albert F. and Hilda (Martin) Grothouse.

Survivors include a brother, Rudy (Judy) Grothouse of Delphos; two sisters, Dolores (Richard) Honigford of Landeck and Agnes (Thomas) Miller of Delphos; a sister-in-law, Carol Grothouse; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Ellie Link.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.

Preferred memorials: St. John’s Church or a charity of donor’s choice.
