Crestview has been hard at work since returning to school after their winter break. Crestview Knight Vision recently performed at the Southern Wells competition on January 7, placing fifth out of seven schools. Senior Elaina Winhover says, “I think we did a great job at this competition and I am happy with our outcome.” They are also preparing for their upcoming Dinner Theater performance at the end of March. Scholastic Bowl also competed in Sidney, Ohio on Saturday, January 7, placing first out of 30 teams.
Students have recently voted for their winter homecoming court for festivities to be celebrated on February 17. There has been talk of preparations to get ready for the dance and there are many students excited for the event. Crestview is also booming with talk about prom. The junior class chose Willow Bend as their setting and is looking forward to decorating such a large space. Junior class president Jake Harmon said, “We’ve been looking at themes in the past few days. I think anything we do will look awesome. This could be the best prom yet.”
Crestview boys’ basketball team was successful in their trip to Ottoville on January 6. They travel to Lincolnview on Friday the 13th. The team is ready to take on the superstitions revolving around the latter date! The girls’ basketball team has also been hard at work playing at Continental on Monday, January 9 and won in a tight fight. They are hosting Lincolnview tonight starting at 6 p.m. Go Knights!
