YMCA offers Liquid Heat workout class

The YMCA of Van Wert County announces a new water workout class, Liquid Heat. The Y’s ZUMBA instructor, Holly Vaughn, will be taking water workouts to a new level with this fun, high intensity class in the pool.

Liquid Heat will be held on Saturdays, starting January 21, from 11-11:45 a.m. It is free to Y members and available to potential members at a cost of $5 per class.  This will be an 8-week session, from January 21 through March 10.  Potential members must register for each class, or pay in full for the session, at the front desk of the Y.

“We are excited to partner with Holly to provide a great, fun workout in the water,” stated YM Aquatics Director Martha Martin. “Being in the water allows for a great overall body workout while being gentler on your joints than most land exercises.

“We have never had a class like this before and we are looking forward to seeing how it goes,” Martin said.

Each Liquid Heat class will include warm-up, high intensity cardio, arms and abs and a cool down.  Information about this and other YMCA programs is available by calling 419.238.0443 or visiting the Y’s website at www.vwymca.org.

The YMCA of Van Wert County is partially funded by The Van Wert County Foundation and United Way of Van Wert County.
