Tad Alan Rickard

Tad Alan Rickard, 55, of Ohio City, died at 9:21 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 4, 1957, in Van Wert, the son of Deloyd and Joanne (Wise) Rickard, both of whom survive in Rockford. On July 1, 1995, he married Pamela (Butcher) Hanna Rickard, who also survives.

Other survivors include three children, Mechele (Derek) Stukey of Willshire and Jenny and Justin Hanna, both at home; two brothers, Timothy (Bev) Rickard of Rockford and LaVon D. (Darlene) Rickard of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A brother, Laverne, and also his grandparents, Wesley Paul and Camilla (Rollins) Rickard, Wilbur “Willie” Reed and Helen Marguerite (Slattery) Wise.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, Pastor Brad Kittle officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
