BBs damage downtown store windows

Vandals with a BB gun were busy in the downtown area overnight Sunday, as several businesses and one county office located in the area reported having store windows damaged by BBs.

Four businesses – Total Reflections at 312 S. Shannon St., F & S Floor Covering at 200 E. Central Ave., the Sportsman’s Club at 143 E. Central and Bon Ton Shoe Repair at 112 N. Washington St., all reported having large windows damaged by apparently having BBs shot into the glass.

Also having a window damaged was the Van Wert County Engineer’s office at 220 S. Market St.

Police are investigating the incidents and ask that anyone with information concerning the criminal damaging incidents call police at 419.238.2462.
