Knights to play “Coaches vs. Cancer” game
By Katie Trigg
Crestview’s student council has organized a “Coaches vs. Cancer” game to take place tomorrow, January 20. The student council has been raising money all week for this cause, by having the students place money in cans to see a certain teacher take a pie to the face during school on Friday. During the game, the coaches will be wearing tennis shoes to promote cancer awareness.
Also at this game the cheerleaders will be performing their competition routine during halftime of the varsity basketball game. The junior varsity and varsity teams will be playing Paulding this game, with junior varsity starting at 6pm.
The junior varsity and varsity girls are to take on the Paulding Panthers tonight at Paulding. They also will play Delphos St. Johns at Delphos on Saturday night.
The winter homecoming attendants and queen candidates were announced early last week. Freshman Courtney Trigg, sophomore Brooke Bowen, and junior Elyse Klinger were announced as attendants. Senior queen candidates are McKenzie Nofer, Brooke Nofer, and Holly Genth.
National Honor Society held their annual blood drive on Tuesday of this week. All members of the community were encouraged to give blood. The turn out for the blood drive was great this year as in years past. All NHS members were able to work the blood drive for community service hours as well. Go Knights!
