Opal V. Wilkinson

Opal V. Wilkinson, 98, of Van Wert, died at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born June 2, 1913, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late William H. and Agnes (Hyndman) Pollock. On December 25, 1941, she married Richard T. Wilkinson, who preceded her in death in October 1979.

Survivors include three children, T. Curtis Wilkinson of Fremont, Ind., Craig Wilkinson of Columbus and Lynn (Guy) Ary of Worthington; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Dwain, Everett and Arlo Pollock; and two sisters, Zelma Painter and Lela Pollock, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dave Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
