Court employee retires

Colleagues and friends gathered (above) Friday afternoon to honor Van Wert County Juvenile Court Deputy Clerk Ruth Ann Glass (fourth from right), who is retiring after 20½ years of service to the court. Ray Able, court administrator and chief probation officer, thanked Glass for her years of service to the court and wished her the best in her retirement. “We’re glad to have had you all those years,” Able said, “and hope that you’re going to look on to better things and more fun.” Glass, who began working as a deputy clerk and court reporter in May 1991, said she enjoyed her job, but felt it was time to leave because of medical issues.
