C’view sponsors cancer fundraising event

Crestview winter sports coaches, with the help of the school’s Student Council, sponsored a “Coaches vs. Cancer” contest that will culminate today.

Students have been donating money, placing the donation into containers with their favorite coaches’ names on them.

The coach who has the most money will get a pie in his or her face during an assembly next week. Anyone who makes a $10 donation will receive a t-shirt, while $5 donors will receive a lanyard.

Coaches and Student Council members would like to thank the Tim Hamrick family for donating shirts to the boy’s varsity team, with Hoover’s Garage donating shirts for the girl’s varsity team. Team members will wear their shirts at their next varsity games, respectively. Coaches and Student Council members thanked the Hamricks and Hoovers for their generosity.

Cheerleaders and student council members will be collecting donations from fans at the varsity boys’ game, this weekend, and the varsity girls’ game against Van Wert on Monday, January 23.

All money goes to the American Cancer Society.
