Auditor issues reminder on dog licenses
Van Wert County Auditor Nancy Dixon reminds county residents that Tuesday, January 31, is the last day to purchase dog licenses without a penalty. After that date, there will be a $16 penalty for dog license purchases.
Dog licenses can be purchased in the Auditor’s Office, Room 205 in the Courthouse, or one of the following locations:
- Hall Lumber Company, 122 S. Main St. in Convoy
- J & J Butler Sales, 200 Walcott St. in Willshire
- The Ramblers Roost Truck Stop on Lincoln Highway near Middle Point
- The Van Wert Animal Clinic (Dr. Wilkin) on Lincoln Highway east of The Marsh Foundation in Van Wert.
- Van Wert Veterinary Clinic (Dr. Trapp) on Van Wert-Decatur Road in Van Wert
- Ohio City Express, 511 W. Carmean St. in Ohio City.
- Brenda’s Cuddles and Cuts, 1333 N. Main St. in Delphos
- Emme Lu’s Pet Wellness Center, 706 W. Ervin Road, Suite C in Van Wert.
A self-addressed, stamped envelope or a 44-cent stamp, along with the proper fee, must accompany the return of the application by mail. If purchasing a tag at one of the above locations, take an application, if one was received.
