Wileta R. Fisher

Wileta R. Fisher, 84, of Van Wert, died at 2:56 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born June 7, 1927, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Ralph and Marjorie (Shumaker) Anderson. She married Russell F. Fisher, who preceded her in death on February 3, 1999.

Mrs. Fisher worked at Federal-Mogul Corporation in Van Wert for more than 25 years. She belonged to the Lutheran denomination.

Survivors include a son, Mark (Darlene) Fisher of Van Wert; a sister, Sharon Sherman of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Kevin Fisher, Laurie (Andy) Schultz and Valerie and Darren Riggs; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a nephew, Bill (Jayne) Sherman of New Jersey; and two great-nephews and two great-nieces.

A sister, Bonita “Bonnie” Walls; and a niece, Debbie Wescott, also preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, at Good Shepherd of the Nazarene Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Stuart Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County at a later date.

Calling hours are from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
