Betty M. Lauer

Betty M. Lauer, 89, of Delphos, died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born December 21, 1922, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Albert G. and Leona (Gulker) Laudick. On September 9, 1944, she married James A. Lauer, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include a son, Robert J. (Teri) Lauer of Delphos; four daughters, Judy (Tom) Hickey, Jo (Dan) Duncan and Lynn (John) Miller, all of Delphos, and Carol (Dave) Grothouse of Waterville; two sisters, Norma MacDonald of Seattle, Wash., and Alberta Sanders of Delphos; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A sister, Margaret Mueller; and two brothers, William Laudick and Robert Laudick, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 30, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Melvin Verhoff and Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 29, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
