Knights find a queen

This week holds a lot for Crestview High School. With homecoming on the horizon and FCCLA week already happening this is adding up to be a big event for the school. Over half of the student body is involved in either basketball, FCCLA or getting ready for the big dance this Saturday.

With the basketball season winding its way down to a close, the Knights have started to prepare for their final home game this Friday night.  They will be facing up against Columbus Grove and the home team feels confident that this will make for a great game to end their home season on. The girls aren’t going to be missing out on any action as the Lady Knights are going to play the winner of the Jefferson and Lincolnview game.

Crestview students are eagerly awaiting the results of who will be their Homecoming Queen. During halftime of the varsity game on February 17, the ceremony will be held where the 2012 Homecoming Queen will be announced.  This years’ Homecoming Court consists of freshman Courtney Trigg, Sophomore Brooke Bowen, Junior Elyse Klinger, and Seniors McKenzie Nofer, Holly Genth, and Brooke Nofer who stated,“I really love all the support that everyone has given me, I truly feel loved.”

In the mean tune Crestview is taking part in Spirit Week. With a few days already down the remaining themes are “Twin Day” on Thursday, where you dress up like someone else in the school, and “Spirit Day”, dressing up and showing your Crestview pride.

This year as the boys get ready to go up against Columbus Grove and the girls wait for the announcing of who will be their queen, there’s something even more daunting they will need to tackle, finding the perfect date for homecoming. Crestview Student Council has chosen the theme for this semi-casual dance as “Bright Knight” which consists of neon decorations and a free glow-stick for all who will be attending. The dance floor is bound to be hoppin’ and the students are bound to be boppin’.

“Go Knights!”
