Harry B. Young Jr.

Harry B. “Benny” Young Jr., 57, of Summerfield, Fla., and formerly of Mendon, died Thursday afternoon, February 16, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Ocala, Fla.

He was born December 7, 1954, in Celina, the son of Harry B. “Bennie” Sr. and Doris (Henderson) Young, who both survive in Mendon.

Other survivors include three children, Doris (Matthew) Crim and Harry B. Young III, both of Mount Vernon, and Crystal (Brent) Kline of Van Wert; three grandchildren; and eight siblings, Deb (Tom) Wycuff of Celina, Mike (Tanya) Young, Dave (Lori) Young and Bill Young, all of Mendon, Jim Young of Marshall, Mich., Penny (Greg) Zizelman of Mendon and Sue (Greg) Hinegardner and Ginger (Jeff) Bollenbacher, both of Rockford; and his girlfriend, Dyan Harrington of Summerfield, Fla.

A niece, Stacy Wycuff, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 23, at First Church of God in Mendon, with the Rev. Dean Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
