Marjorie Marie Eakins Evans Sickmiller
Marjorie Marie Eakins Evans Sickmiller, 100, of Oakwood, died Sunday, February 19, 2012.
She was born in Adams County, the daughter of the late John Raymond and Martha Ann (Shoemaker) Eakins.
Survivors include four sons, DeWayne (Sharon) Evans and John (Roberta) Sickmiller, both of Napoleon, Jerry Sickmiller of Elida and Joe Sickmiller of Oakwood; four daughters, Winona (Dick) Hays of Oakwood, Janette (Stanley) Coplin of Paulding, Marjane (Lee) Baker of South Lyon, Mich., and Judy (Dennis) Baker of Oakwood; a sister, Betty Tanner of Orient; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Her first husband, Clyde Evans (in 1994), her second husband, Eryl Sickmiller (in 2003); a son, Donald Evans; one daughter, Garnett Evans Noble; a grandson, Stuart Noble; a great-grandson, Samuel David Sickmiller; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Sickmiller; two brothers, Charlie and Carson Eakins; and six sisters, Thelma Iler, Norma Spencer, Beatrice Walkenshaw, Ermith Wellman and Edra Elliott, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 23, at Auglaize Chapel Church of God, with Pastor Christopher Baker, the Rev. David Coplin and Pastor Stan Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Blakeslee Cemetery in Charloe.
Calling hours are from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding.
