L’view sets college coursework meeting

On Monday, March 5, the guidance department at Lincolnview High School will be hosting a dual enrollment meeting, as well as a post secondary meeting.  The dual enrollment meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. and will be conducted by Lincolnview guidance counselor Brenda Leeth and Gretchen Rentz from Wright State University-Lake Campus.

This meeting is to answer questions about the dual enrollment courses offered at the high school.  A high school student may take college courses at the high school and earn college credit while maintaining a regular schedule. The parent or student is responsible for the cost; however, it is at a significant savings compared to regular tuition costs.

The post secondary program meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and be conducted by Leeth. Any student who is interested in participating in this program must attend with a parent. The pros and cons of the program will be discussed, as well as information on how the program operates. College applications will be available that night.

For more information on either program, call Leeth at 419.968.2214, extension 3210.
