Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith, 55, of Convoy, died at 5:07 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born January 28, 1957, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late John and Jeanne E. (Morisey) Van Fleet. On July 24, 1987, she married Donald Smith, who survives in Convoy.

Other survivors include four children, Shannon R. Smith and Samantha J. Smith, both of Convoy, Kelly (Jamie) Lewis of Bluffton, Ind., and Carrie (Adam) Showalter of Eubank, Ky.; three brothers, Steve Van Fleet of Athens, James Van Fleet of Convoy and Michael Van Fleet of Van Wert; two sisters, Sherry Krugh of Van Wert and Susan Derkach of Homosassa, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy, with the Rev. Michael Saylor officiating.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
