VWHS bands to perform tonight at NPAC

This evening, the Van Wert High School Concert Band and Symphony Band will present a concert featuring music for an upcoming contest. The concert will be held in the Saltzgaber Music Hall of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center and begin at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature the Concert Band opening the show with three pieces, including “Declaration Overture”, “Lyrical March” and “Apparitions”.

The Symphony Band will finish the concert with their three pieces that include “The Lambs’ March”, “Symphony No. 1, Movement 5 — Hobbits”, and “Rhapsodic Celebration”.

This concert is presented in anticipation of the upcoming Ohio Music Educators Association district contest to be held March 16-17 in the Celina High School Gymnasium.
