Andrew C. Hammons

Andrew C. Hammons, 24, of Van Wert, died Wednesday morning, March 7, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born December 15, 1987, in Dayton, the son of Al Hammons of Convoy and Jennifer (Schibler) Hammons of Van Wert.

Survivors include a son, Andrew C. Hammons Jr. of Marion; two sisters, Amanda Hammons of Convoy and Areena (Philip) Hammons-Raines of Van Wert; maternal grandparents Ralph and Pat Schibler of Catawba Island; and paternal grandfather, Clinton Hammons of Hillsboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Rita Bair officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the funeral home.
