Annette E. Johnson

Annette E. Johnson, 85, of Mendon, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

She was born January 28, 1927, in Gary, Ind., the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie (Lund) Peterson. On December 24, 1946, she married Charles Wendell Johnson, who preceded her in death on November 14, 2002.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Barb) Johnson of Lima, Charles Richard Johnson of Mendon and Thomas Edward (Joyce) Johnson of Celina; two daughters, Diana Jane (Dana) Griggs of Chesterfield, Mo., and Patricia Ann (Jon) Shindollar of Troy; a brother, Leonard Peterson of Dana Point, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with the Rev. Dean Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
