Norma Jean Phlipot

Norma Jean Phlipot, 72, of Paulding, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at her residence.

She was born January 7, 1940, in Defiance County, the daughter of the late Russell D. and Flora M. (Dole) Butler. On January 31, 1959, she married Earl E. “Zeb” Phlipot, who preceded her in death on November 11, 2007.

Survivors include two sons, Everett (Jil) Phlipot of Stuart, Fla., and Alan Phlipot of Paulding; two daughters, Deborah (Mike) Farquhar of Paulding and Diane (Graeg Beber) Fogle of Auburn, Ind.; three brothers, Clyde “Bud” (Jeannie) Butler of Ayersville, Russell “Punk” (Judy) Butler and Merlin “Joe” (Susan) Butler, both of Defiance; a sister, Helen “Toot” (Gene) Yenser of Oakwood; and four grandchildren.

A sister, Nola “Shorty” Stoller, and an infant grandson, Joshua Perl, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, where a Rosary service will be held at 7:30 that evening. There will also be visitation one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Masses, hospice or the American Cancer Society.
