Keith Spangler

Keith “Pinky” Spangler, 53, of Van Wert, died at 4:59 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born February 15, 1959, in Bluffton, the son of the late Patricia (Kopp) Williams. He married Michelle (Sparhawk) Spangler, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include four children, Tara Schleeter of Convoy, Erika Spangler and Josh Jackson, both of Van Wert, and Casey Jackson of Dayton; three stepchildren, William (Krystle) Shinnaberry, Anthony Shinnaberry and Kayla Shinnaberry, all of Van Wert; two brothers, Andy Spangler of Delphos and Harold Spangler II of Grover Hill; two sisters, Mari (Bill) Huebner of Cloverdale and Melissa (Steve) Thomas of Van Wert; three grandsons; and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, March 16, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
