Spring brings music

With spring around the corner, the Crestview musical department is gearing up for their annual Dinner Theater on March 23. Knight Vision concluded their season at their last competition at East Noble High School. They received second runner up and junior Kevin Cook was awarded “Top Performer.” Senior Brittany Longwell said, “This year, being my senior year, it went by really quick, but I thought we progressed a little each time we performed which is really good. I think I speak for the whole group when I say that this was a really fun season.”
Sophomores began taking their Ohio Graduation Testing on Monday and will conclude tomorrow. Freshmen are also taking practice test in preparation for more advanced tests to come. Copsey Bogle says “I felt like I was well prepared for the test, it was just very long. It wasn’t as bad as I had thought it would be.”
The junior class has started their preparation for prom being held at the end of April. The invitation committee finalized the invites last week and handed them out to the class of 2012 and faculty members. Also, the food committee is now ready to accept dinner reservations for the pre-dance meal at Willow Bend.
Spring sport teams are now in full swing, including practices and scrimmages. Spring athlete Kole Rolsten said “It’s really sad that it’s the start of my last baseball season, but I’m really looking forward to a great season and making some great memories with my teammates this season.”
FCCLA gets the honor to help make the FFA banquet happen. The members serve the food and they also clean up after it’s over. The Crestview FFA banquet is planned for March 20 where they will hand out many achievement awards for the year.
