Man dies in Williams County traffic crash
BRYAN – A Bryan man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Ohio 15 in Williams County.
Paul E. Miller II, 60, was driving a 2001 GMC Sonoma pickup truck north on Ohio 15 when he attempted to turn west into a private driveway and into the path of a 2002 Peterbilt semi tractor-trailer truck operated by Curtis D. Williamson Jr. of Valparaiso, Ind.
Miller’s pickup sustained heavy damage and came to rest on the roadway, while the semi went off the west side of the road and jackknifed. Miller was taken to Bryan Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a representative of the Williams County Coroner’s Office.
Miller was wearing a safety belt, but alcohol was determined to be a factor in the accident.
Troopers from the Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were assisted by the Williams County Sheriff’s Department, Bryan Fire Department, Williams County EMS, Williams County Ohio Department of Transportation garage and Bryan Police Department.
