Knights kick off 4th nine weeks

With the fourth nine weeks right around the corner, and the weather feeling like summer, the students at Crestview are eager for the spring season. Spring sports are preparing for their seasons, and the Crestview Music Department is preparing for their annual Dinner Theater.
Mrs. Hancock and the Music Department have been preparing for the Dinner Theater to be held on March 24. As one of the acts featured in the Dinner Theater, Jazz Band guitarist Avery Jones is very excited for the event, “We have been practicing very well lately, and we have done well along with the Knight Vision at the competitions that we have went to. I think that there will be a big crowds Saturday and I’m looking forward to entertaining everyone that attends.”
On Saturday March 24, the girls track team will be participating in the Versailles Invitational Track Meet. When asked about the first meet, Junior Darrian Hoerig said, “I am very anxious to run in our first meet. It is one of the bigger meets that we run in, so there will be a lot of good competition there. We’ve been preparing for several weeks now, so I hope that we can compete with the other teams there.”
Senior track star Erika Frey said, “With our girls 4×4 team doing as well as we did last year, we are looking to have a very good first meet Saturday so that we can prepare ourselves for the state meet in June.”
With a slightly different coaching staff and very high numbers, watch for the boys’ and girls’ track team to compete within the NWC this year, as well have several athletes take trips to the state.
The Crestview baseball and softball teams have begun their seasons with both teams preparing for their first games. The softball team has their first game on March 29 at Van Wert High School. The Varsity boys’ team having their first scrimmage last Friday at home against Van Wert. They boys are preparing for their first game on March 28 at Delphos St. Johns. The softball team has started their season and has their first game on March 29 at Van Wert High School. The boys also have their annual volleyball marathon on Saturday, March 24; each player is asked to raise a minimum of $100 for the baseball program.
