Eugenia E. McOmber

Eugenia E. McOmber, 61, of Convoy, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born November 18, 1950, in Van Wert, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Ellen (Couts) Jerome, who survive in Columbia City, Ind. On August 27, 1987, she married Michael K. McOmber, who survives in Convoy.

Mrs. McOmber had worked at Lincoln Financial Corporation in Fort Wayne, Ind., for several years and had formerly worked for GTE in Fort Wayne for 16 years. She attended First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.

In addition to her parents and husband, survivors include two children, Kory Hurless of Evansville, Ind., and Adam M. McOmber of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Steve Jerome of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Tammy Jerome and Vickie (Chris) Arnold, both of Fort Wayne; and one grandson, Kaden Hurless of Evansville, Ind.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the funeral home.
