John Paul Kwascigroh

John Paul Kwascigroh, 81, of Van Wert, died Tuesday morning, March 27, 2012, at his residence.

He was born July 10, 1930, in Paulding County, the son of the late John M. and Ada E. (Buchman) Kwascigroh. On September 19, 1981, he married Shirley Mae (Doner) Kwascigroh, who preceded him in death on May 23, 2000.

Survivors include a son, John F. Kwascigroh of Kimmell, Ind.; one daughter, Sharon Flint of Paulding; one daughter-in-law, Deb Kwascigroh of Grover Hill; four stepchildren, Rickey (Suzanne) Thatcher of Ottoville, Terry (Kathy) Thatcher and Dennis (Joyce) Thatcher, both of Van Wert, and Gina Stutz of Scott; two sisters, Anna Blachard of Paulding County and Ruth Frankurt of Leipsic; a sister-in-law, Pearl Kwascigroh; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.

A son, Paul W. Kwascigroh; and one brother, Frank Kwascigroh, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the funeral home.
