VW has housing assistance CHIP funds

The City of Van Wert’s Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) has funds available to help residents of the city with their Emergency Housing Assistance Program. Assistance is available to help with delinquent utility bills (excluding phone or cell phone), as well as back rent or mortgage payments.

Applications are also being sought for residents who reside and own their homes in the Second Ward for home repairs (grant) and private owner rehabilitation (loan).

All applications can be picked up in Room 203 or 211 in the Municipal Building, 515 E. Main St. in Van Wert.
