Raymond E. Klopfenstein

Raymond E. Klopfenstein, 97, of Paulding, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at his residence.

He was born January 7, 1915, in Paulding County, the son of the late Edward and Emma (Stoller) Klopfenstein. On February 24, 1957, he married Catherina (Gerber) Klopfenstein, who survives in Paulding.

Other survivors include two sons, Leon (Debra) Klopfenstein of Haviland and Jerry (Cherry) Klopfenstein of Paulding; a daughter, Betty (Harlan) Wulf of Larchwood, Iowa; one brother, Marvin (Mary) Klopfenstein of Scott; a sister, Aldean Price of Van Wert; and 12 grandchildren.

Four brothers, Harold, Alvin, Floren and an infant son, Gene; and two sisters, Frances Laidig and an infant sister, Mabel, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, at Latty Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the church fellowship hall and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
