Kernel Cooper’s maze honors Titanic

The 11th year of Kernel Cooper’s Corn Maze also happens to coincide with another important anniversary: the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Maze organizations have been busy planning its commemorative Titanic design since late last year.

“This will be our 11th year and we are excited about our design and salute to this amazing ocean liner that is a great part of history,” said Kernel Cooper owner Rod Cooper. “We chose it because we knew the 100th anniversary was coming up.
“It’s great to see we aren’t alone — because the 1997 movie has been released again in 3D and there is a lot of hype about the Titanic right now … so what better time to unveil our design,” Cooper added.
Plans are also being made to enhance the maze to provide even more fun and family enjoyment for guests. The maze’s website, www.kernelcoopers.com, will continue to be updated over the next several months, so feel free to check it out for more information.
Opening day for this year’s maze is Friday, September 7, and the maze will be open weekends through Saturday, November 3. Individuals, as well as groups, are welcome. Contact Kernel Cooper’s for group rates and reservations.
Kernel Cooper’s Corn Maze is located at 9867 Mendon Road, just east of Van Wert. Facebook fans can “like” the maze, too … by finding it under “Kernel Coopers Corn Maze.”
