Lancer baseball team downs Ada
The Lincolnview Lancer baseball team downed Northwest Conference opponent Ada 15-5 Monday evening at Lincolnview.
The Bulldogs scored first, with a run in the top of the first inning, which Lincolnview matched in its half of the inning. The Lancers added a run in the second inning to lead, 2-1, but Ada tied it up with a run in the top of the third inning. The Bulldogs too, a three-run lead in the fourth inning, but Lincolnview went ahead in their half of the fourth with four runs and a 6-5 lead.
The Lancers added an insurance run in the fifth and then bombarded Ada for eight runs in the sixth for a run-rule victory.
Kyle Williams was the winning pitcher for Lincolnview, going five innings and striking out five, while walking just one. He gave up five runs, one of those earned. Nick Leeth, who came into the game with a two-run lead, got the save.
