Cougar boys beat Elida in tennis

Van Wert High School’s boys’ tennis team defeated Elida 3-2 in a match held Tuesday evening.

The Cougars’ No. 1 singles player, Nathan Knodel, No. 3 singles player Eric Yeung and the No. 2 doubles team of Luke Stevens and Alex Baer all won to give Van Wert the big win.

“I am so proud of the team and really proud of Nathan Knodel,” said Van Wert Coach Mitch Price. “It was  great win for him.”

The Cougars are now 2-5 overall and 2-4 in the Western Buckeye League.
