Community service

Van Wert Municipal Court has established a community service network of providers that uses defendants with minor misdemeanors, such as driving under suspension and underage alcohol consumption — individuals who have made bad choices and understand the results of their actions. This is seen as a positive venue for defendants, knowing that there is a network of providers willing to work with them in the community. The Municipal Court Probation Department thanks those providers already actively involved in the network and asks that others wanting more information or to be added to the network call 419.238.5760.
