Freda M. Lipp

Freda M. Lipp, 90, of Defiance, died Thursday, April 19, 2012.

She was born January 2, 1922, in Ney, the daughter of the late John and Amelia (Smith) Elser. On May 30, 1941, she married Harold Lipp, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two children, Carol (Gary) Hume and Gary (Janice) Lipp; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Clifford, Glenn and Guy Elser; and four sisters, Ethel Obenland, Gladys Carlin, Mary Partee and Mildred Kimpel, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens in Defiance.

Calling hours are from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Community Health Professionals-Hospice, American Cancer Society or the Gardens of Paulding Activity Fund.
