Senior citizens banquet coming in May

The annual 2012 senior citizen’s banquet will be held Tuesday, May 15, at the Van Wert Senior Citizens Center. The theme for the day will be “Back to the Sixties”. Attendees are encouraged to bring in photos of their families from the 1960s to share with everyone.

Kristy Bidlack will cater the meal and the menu will be chicken breast, scalloped potatoes, vegetable, dessert and drink. Cost for tickets will be $8.50 and tickets are available at the senior center until Friday, May 4.

Entertainment will be provided Alan Seibert. The senior king and queen will be announced at 11:15 a.m. and dinner will be served at 11:30 a.m., with entertainment to follow. For more information, call 419.238.5011.
