Clever Clovers hold 2nd April meeting
The Clever Clovers 4-H group held a meeting on April 23, 2012 at Calvary Evangelical Church at 6:30 p.m. The meeting began with members splitting up into small groups based on their projects. Michael Etter, in the miscellaneous small group, gave a demonstration about his project, Robotics. Michael showed other members a Robot he programmed to pick up a ball and carry it to a nearby plastic container.
Members then met in the middle of the Recreation center to play an icebreaker game, due to all the new Clever Clovers members. The game was led by Daniel Thompson, Caleb Markward, and Molly Gamble. Following the game, Clair Gamble took roll call by asking all members present to guess the number of jellybeans in a plastic bag that was passed around the room. Elizabeth Ganger had the closest guess with 99 and won the jellybeans.
Alexis Line gave feedback from previous service projects and reminded members of upcoming projects. Blank posters were then handed out to members who wanted to express themselves through designing a poster to advertise the upcoming 4-H chicken barbecue. Jamie Burenga motioned to adjourn the meeting and Carolyn Kopak seconded the motion. Refreshments provided by Hannah and Alexandria Bartley, Michael Etter, and Alaina Arney followed the meeting. Clever Clovers next meeting will be held on May 7 at Calvary Evangelical Church at 6:30 p.m.
