Knights prepare for “A Black Tie Affair”

With only a few weeks of school left for students and especially seniors, Crestview is abuzz with excitement for the last few memorable events of the school year. The Knights have been in constant preparation for Prom, which is being held at Willow Bend Country Club on Saturday, April 28, from 8-11:00 p.m. Promenade is scheduled for 6-8 p.m, on Saturday, in the high school auditoria.
“I think that Prom is essential to the student body, and it strengthens relationships between peers,” said senior Ian Bauer, “Everyone should go.”
After-Prom will be at the Olympic Lanes Bowling Alley, starting at 11:30 p.m and ending at 2:30 a.m. Tickets cannot be obtained at this point, so if you don’t have one, you’re out of luck. Food will be provided. Seat belts are expected to be worn, and curfews are expected to be maintained.
The Mock Crash will be on Friday, and is used as a visual representation to demote drinking and driving with teenage students during prom-time. Participants in this event are: Leigha Taylor, Madison Etzler, Elyse Klinger, Alex Brown, Shelby Ripley, Erika Frey, Rachel Gent, and Kate Bauer.
“With Mrs. Sawmiller and I doing the make-up for the Mock Crash, it should be pretty realistic,” said senior Brodie Tumbleson.
In other news, the Crestview High School Scholastic Bowl placed fourth in the regional competition in Columbus on Saturday, April 21. “Considering we competed against many division one, large schools, I feel we performed very well,” said junior Alex Brown
