Elks give to United Way

Van Wert Lodge 1197, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, recently made a financial donation to the Van Wert County Relay for Life. The donation of $100 was made in memory of Melissa Baker, who died from cancer in December 2010. Baker was a former employee of the Van Wert Elks Lodge and fought a courageous battle against cancer. She will be remembered by family and friends at this year’s Relay for Life, scheduled for May 4 at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Baker’s father-in-law is a member of Van Wert Elks Lodge 1197.
