Laurietta M. Kohorst

Laurietta M. Kohorst, 86, of Delphos, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born July 30, 1925, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Eva Nora (Syler) Diltz. On April 27, 1942, she married Harold Kohorst, who preceded her in death on August 2, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Inice) Kohorst of Mendon and Tommy (Barbara) Kohorst of Delphos; two daughters, Bonnie (James) Fuerst of Columbus Grove and Cora (Rodger) Saum of Delphos; five sisters-in-law, Ruth Kemper, Margie Kohorst, Ethel Bridgemen, Dorothy Kohorst and Dorothy Diltz Kohorst; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Four brothers, Russell, Ira, Gerald and Ellis Diltz; and eight sisters, Blanch Bowers, Eunice Good, Mary Esther Diltz, Beulah Morris, Velma Teman, Luella Teman, Anna Belle Claypool and Irma Martin; and a grandson, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
