Hot Air Festival trial run next Saturday
The air is warming up in Van Wert as the Hot Air Festival prepares to make its scheduled return September 7-9.
Several of the balloon pilots appearing in the Hot Air Festival this year are making a test flight In Van Wert on Saturday, May 12, at the Van Wert County Regional Airport, using radio controlled, smaller versions of hot air balloons.
Wes Dickerson, balloon meister, and Brian Counts, pilot, will be flying these balloons and have invited all interested in viewing or taking part in this event to come out to the airport. First launch will be shortly after 11 a.m. They will provide demonstrations, instructions and hands-on experiences to all balloon enthusiasts of all ages.
The public is invited to meet and greet both men with a warm welcome to Van Wert and enjoy this flight experience with radio-controlled balloons.
