OSHP sets voluntary vehicle inspections

Inspector Alan Joseph, Trooper JJ McCain and Trooper Deb Tracey inspect a car.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with Van Wert Fairgrounds, has announced voluntary motor vehicle inspections at the fairgrounds on May 8, 9, 15 and 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

With the start of the vacation season ahead, all motorists are reminded to have their vehicles inspected for safety. The inspection is free to the public and will consist of checking lights, turn signals, horn, tires, wipers, exhaust, emergency brake and driver’s license. A window tint meter will be available for tinted-glass inspection.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol believes that inspection of motor vehicles that use the public highways will make it safer for all citizens of Ohio.  They hope all citizens in the area will take this opportunity to have their vehicles inspected.
