Ruth E. Pate

Ruth E. Pate, 76, of Ohio City, died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, at her residence.

She was born April 4, 1936, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Raymond “Bob” and Georgia Mae (Morrow) Hamman. She married Barry M. Pate, who preceded her in death on August 14, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Nunez of Cloverdale; one brother, Jack Hamman; a sister, Janet Parton of Leo, Ind.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A son, James D. Imler; and one brother, James Hamman, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Robert Pauley officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the funeral home.
