Donation to YMCA

The YMCA of Van Wert County received a $1,000 donation from First Federal Savings & Loan Association as part of its annual board campaign. Here, (from the left) Bev Fuerst, Y board member and 2012 Annual Board Campaign chair, receives the donation from Brian Renner, president/CEO of First Federal, while and YMCA Executive Director Hugh Kocab looks on. This donation, along with many others from community leaders, families and businesses, allowed the YMCA to reach its $40,000 campaign goal. Funds raised will aid the nearly 400 individuals needing financial assistance for a Y membership, as well as to support for the new handicap-accessible/senior entrance to the YMCA. Donations are still welcome and can be made online at www.vwymca.org.
