YM to have summer membership special

The YMCA of Van Wert County is holding a summer special for adult and teen/college memberships.  Starting immediately through Labor Day, adults can purchase a temporary membership for only $99, with no additional fees.  Full-time college students, between the ages of 18-24 with proof of full-time college student status, can purchase a temporary membership for only $75, with no additional fees.

Memberships purchased through this special will end September 1.  If a participant chooses to continue and purchase a regular membership upon this special’s expiration, they may purchase it by Saturday, September 15, and pay no joining fee (a savings worth up to $50).

“We are excited to be able to offer this special for those who would like to start the summer in a healthy manner,” stated J.J. McClain, YMCA membership/marketing director.  “This also gives people the chance to ‘try the Y’ on a short-term basis to see all the great opportunities and health benefits the Y has to offer,” McClain added.

These memberships will include full use of the Y, open and lap swims, participation in all free fitness classes, and adult member rates for use of the Aqua Park at Camp Clay.
