Eloise Finkhousen

Eloise Finkhousen, 98, of Van Wert, died at 7:12 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born November 14, 1913, in Champaign, Ill., the daughter of the late Charles and Chloe (Freeland) Tarlton. On October 15, 1940, she married Lester D. Finkhousen, who preceded her in death on January 10, 1988.

Survivors include two sons, James (Nancy) Finkhousen and Stephen Finkhousen, both of Van Wert; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Four brothers, Wayne, Harold, Ivan and Warren Tarlton; and a sister, Beulah Hunter, also preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17, in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating.

There will be no calling hours.
