Van Wert golf programs announced

The Van Wert Parks Department and Hickory Sticks Golf Course is offering some exciting fun filled golf programs for all ages to participate in this summer. For youngsters age 5-11 and 12-18, the Junior Golf Camp will run from Monday, June 4, through Friday, June 8. The program for those 5-11 will run from 9-11 a.m., while the one for those 12-18 will run from noon-2 p.m. Register by calling the Jubilee Park office at 419.238.9121.

Saturday, June 10, will be the Junior Golf Family Day Event. The will be a 9-hole family (four-person) scramble, with a cookout and awards following. Cost is $15 per person or $60 per team. Team members who are participants in the junior golf camp will participate for free! To register for this event, registration forms are online at www.vanwert.org, or those interested can stop in at the Jubilee Park office or Hickory Sticks Golf Course.

The 8-week Junior League is for anyone between the ages of 8-18. This league will start Monday, June 11, and run to July 30, starting at 9 a.m.

The fee is $10 per week, however, those who pay up front for all eight weeks will receive 10 percent off the fee. To register and pay, go to Hickory Sticks Golf Course.

For the adult golfers, there will an Adult Golf Clinic Monday, June 11, through Wednesday, June 13, for those ages 18 and above. The clinic will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Anyone interested should call the Jubilee Park office at the above number.
