NeighborLink VW seeking new director

Information submitted

NeighborLink Van Wert has announced its search for a new executive director. Lindsay Hotmire, founder and director of NeighborLink Van Wert, recently announced her resignation.

“When I brought NeighborLink Van Wert to the county nearly two years ago, I knew that I could only stay on as executive director for a short time. Today, with nearly 100 volunteers in our system and almost 40 projects completed in just 18 months, it is not easy to walk away from everything that is going on here at NeighborLink,” she said.

The decision to step down did not come quickly or easily for Hotmire. “For almost 10 years, I have been out of the full-time work force in order to stay home with our children,” she said. “Life is changing rapidly here at the Hotmire household, however, and it has become clear that my role at NeighborLink Van Wert needs to become that of volunteer instead of executive director.”

In order for NeighborLink Van Wert to continue operating, the position of executive director must be filled.

NeighborLink Van Wert is a 501(c)(3) that relies upon a network of volunteers to help meet the needs of local neighbors.  While many skills are useful as executive director, the biggest requirement is that the director be passionate about changing lives and hearts through volunteer service.

Those interested in becoming involved with NeighborLink Van Wert as the executive director can contact NeighborLink at 419.605.3557 by Friday, June 8.
